ITProPortal.com was one of the very first technology web sites to launch in the UK back in 1999 and is now one of the UK’s leading technology information resources.
I was hired by Net Communities to completely redesign the website. The main goal of this redesign was to remove the clutter and simplify everything, from design to the way users interact with the website. This process involved rethinking the website structure (done by the editorial team), but also a change in layout and functionality.
My job was to design the new visual identity, refresh the website logos, create the XHTML / CSS templates and work closely with the Django developers, in order to implement the new design and ensure a smooth transition from the old website.
