This is a dilema everyone goes through when starting up on freelancing and what you have said is true but can be achieved only with the experience. I truly agree to what you have mentioned.

Adrian - thanks for the link and follow-up posts...I completely agree with your pricing strategy based upon value and not costs of living.

What I didn't mention in the FSw article is that I generally work from lower cost countries (South Africa, Asia - am currently in Thailand) because my lifestyle allows it.

Does that mean I lower my rates because my cost of living is lower? Absolutely not...because I *know* we provide great value to clients worldwide.

So yes, I agree with you!

This is a good principle: Give it youre best half of the time before the deadline, then just try to finish it. A wise man said that (me).

Don't mention it, Fath. I didn't know where to start when I began freelancing. So I did a lot of research and tried to learn from others. Now I'm just sharing some of that knowledge.

I have difficulties in setting up my rates before. I seek advices from some experience freelancers and they taught me a lot about freelancing. I think I've figured it out. Thanks, man.

A dilemma faced by every service provider (and even clients). Pretty much agree with your point of view.
