It’s been 3 months since I started to write this series of posts on how this blog evolves. Lucky for me, this blog continues to grow, bringing more traffic an more subscribers each month. Here’s a quick look at this month’s analytics, as well some info about the subscriber count from the last couple of months:

Traffic

What I mentioned in last month’s report happened again: in May the average daily traffic was 380 visits, more than double than April’s average of 145 visits.

Ok, ok, I’m not being totally honest here. Almost half this traffic was due to 4 spikes and May also marked the first day with more than 2000 visits in a single day. But hey, that’s still traffic, right?

With so much traffic coming from social networks and other referring websites, search engine traffic dropped to about 16%.

Subscribers

This subscribers chart is provided by Feed Compare, created by Blog Perfume. If you have an obsession with graphs like I do (it’s those damn stock charts :) ), you might also want to check their Feed Analysis tool.

To be honest, I’m not that interested in traffic right now. My main concern is reaching as many people as possible and turning them into subscribers. Why? Because users may come and go, but subscribers are people that trust you, because they see you as a reliable source of information.

My subscriber count at the beginning of the last couple of months went from 5 to 23 to 62 and now to 161 subscribers. For me, a constant increase of subscriber count is a sign that what I’m doing is right, it motivates me to provide more useful articles, tutorials, WordPress themes, etc.

Don’t mean to sound annoying, but you can use the suggestion box from the sidebar in order to receive the articles that interest you the most. As you know, I’m writing about freelancing, web design and blogging (from a designer’s perspective).
