Hello! My name is Adrian Diaconescu and I’m a 27 year old freelance web designer from Bucharest, Romania. I design clean, fresh websites and blogs and implement them using my open-source tool of choice: WordPress.
Past
In a “previous life” I used to work as Flash Designer for Softwin, then I left and started a company called Spidernet with a couple of friends. When I made the switch to freelancing full time, I was working as Creative Designer for ORSYP.
Present
I ditched the 9 to 5 routine for the self employment life and I have to say… I’m loving every minute of it! I have a lot more time for myself, a lot more time to spend time with my family and friends, to travel, etc. Basically… I can do what’s important in life: live!
Rubiqube is the place where I showcase my web design portfolio and online projects, but it’s also the place where I write about WordPress, web design, freelancing, online income and other stuff.
Future
While designing websites is a lot of fun right now, I can’t really say where I see myself in 15 years. You never know what the future has instored for you. Steve Jobs said it best (my favorite quote ever):
Again, you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.
