Interesting choices, for me as a non-designer. All of them look very bland to me, same-old same-old. Also, as a consumer I see them and my red-flag goes off that I'll be given lots of smiling multicultural faces but little actual help for what I'm looking for -- as Alvin said about Rogers. Of the sites I've actually used, only intel actually got me the information I wanted, Microsoft definitely one of the worst I've tried to use.

Anyone notice how most sites are sticking to web patterns.... as in search form in top right corner??? The best sites not only look good but are usable and have elements in places where people expect to find them from previous web use.

Excellent compilation of sites. I wonder has anyone done up a kind of framework document for producing corporate like websites. As in best fonts, the need for a main header banner, colours etc...

Adrian, I really enjoy your site.

I clicked through a lot of the screenshots and these companies have new designs. Interesting to see the directions they were moving. If you update this list, let me know. I was looking for some inspiration and found a few worth bookmarking in this list, thanks.

I have to disagree with the Rogers site. As a Rogers customer, I have to use the site frequently, but once you start to dig around and go beyond the welcome page, it gets really messy, really fast.

A good website should be good through and through. It's too easy to have a great first page, but then forget every rule in the book about flow and navigation.

Why isn't Apple.com up there? The search feature alone is amazing.

Good stuff.
- Just that, I think some of the corporates have to start thinking beyound the White + Blue + Lt. Gray themes.
- Microsoft is one site that you can always return to, if you are looking for ideas on selling your products.
- Cisco WebEx with White + Black + Green + Blue is good too.

What I would like to see? A list of top financial websites :-)

hi, super good round up of large corporates - excellent use of color and i like the layouts, some good inspiration there. i'd really love to see a roundup of small corporates...i.e ones with not as much content or 'news' type stuff.
